Since Dental & Medical services are based on science that frequently requires update, the refund for fees paid for the services are not usually entertained by the Health Care Providers Globally.
Dental treatment outcome (much like all medical) depends on many factors including condition and progress of the underlying disease, the patient’s physiological & psychological response and biological nature, pre-and post-treatment care and patient’s compliance. If Smile Dental Care Dental management, subject to review by the Smile Dental Care Dental Quality Processes, determines that treatment outcome could have been better, they under sole discretion may approve refunds.
Refunds will be available when there is a wrong or excess payment during swiping of the card or any other mode directed into the Smile Dental Care's account.
Refunds are also available when there is a change in the patient’s general medical condition like Cardiac, Pulmonary or Endocrinal etc, rendering the patient unsuitable for said treatment.
Refund via Bank Transfer- Upto 10 Working days
Refund via Cheque - Upto 7 Working days .
Refund via Cash - Not Entertained
1. A written request by the patient with reasons is required to start the refund. The request should be initiated within 3 months of payment receipt.
2. Documents / deliverables needed:
a) Receipts of payment done
b) x-rays
c) Any other connected document.
d) Patients should also return to Smile Dental Care, all delivered dentures, crowns, aligners, failed implants, ortho appliances if any, to the treating clinic for which refund is asked.
3. Smile Dental Care's Quality Team will review the refund request based on all facts & patient-provided records pertaining to the underlying condition and reserves full and complete right to approve the above.
4. Consultations ( in case if consultant is involved), x-rays, diagnosis & treatment planning, are not eligible for refund.
5. Lab charges for prostheses, aligners, crowns, dentures etc. will also be deducted.
1.Treatment has started / partly completed / prosthesis fitted or the implant, brackets or crowns have been ordered.
2.The patient does not report for treatment for a long time and the condition deteriorates or the fit has changed; like in cases of dentures, crowns, aligners etc.
3.If three months have passed since the treatment is over or the patient gets treatment done at any clinic outside Smile Dental Care .
4.The patient did not comply with instructions or failed to report for further treatment like in implants or wear retention plates in Orthodontic treatment as advised.
5.No refund will be eligible if there is a loss of prosthesis or failure to return the implant
6.In the case of Orthodontic Aligners: If impressions or scan has been done and the aligners have been ordered.
7.If the Aligner / crown / denture has not been collected by the patient and the ‘fit has changed’, due to shifting of teeth, requiring new measurements.
8.If the treatment is booked under ‘zero interest’ finance schemes
1 Deduction for Aligner work – ₹ 5,000
2. Deduction for Implant / Orthodontic treatment – ₹ 5,000
3 For any other Treatment with total between ₹10000 to ₹15000 – ₹ 3,000
4. For treatment with total below ₹10000- ₹2000
5. For any other treatments above ₹15000- 10% of treatment cost will be deducted.
In case a patient has made any attempt to defame Smile Dental Care or the doctors of Smile Dental Care, management reserves the right to reject the claim for refund or retreatment. The Management reserves the right to accept or reject any refund claim based on the clinical findings & patient history. Management has also the right to accept or reject any Re-treatment if the patient has not followed the instructions.
Disputes if any are subject to the exclusive Jurisdiction of Tiruchirapalli courts, where the SMILE DENTAL CARE and it's branches has its registered office.
